At Shining Light Academy, we believe in impacting the community positively, especially the rising generation. We realize that discipleship and a lifelong love of learning extend beyond the school year, which is why we proudly offer summer camp options to students here in the High Point, North Carolina area.
Why should you send your child to summer camp? And specifically, why should your child attend one of our summer camps? Here are just a few reasons:

Summer Camp starts on Tuesday, May 26th and runs all summer (with the exception of July 4th) to August 7th.
Here are some other things to know about our summer camp:
- We accept children from age 3 to 5th grade.
- Summer Camp Hours are 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
- The weekly fee includes lunches and an afternoon snack. No need to worry about packing anything.
- Also included in the weekly fee are off-site field trips and on-site instructional shows, usually two a week!
- We offer additional child discounts for families with multiple children.
- Summer camp also generally includes a variety of field trips your child won’t want to miss!
- Rates are: $160 per week, $200 registration fee (non refundable)

No, our summer camp programs are open to both current students and children in the surrounding communities.
What does an average day at summer camp look like?
The typical day includes a mix of structured activities, group play, outdoor time, and enrichment experiences that help keep our campers engaged and active. Common activities include arts and crafts, games, and special themed events throughout the week.
How are campers grouped?
Campers are typically grouped by age to ensure activities are appropriate and engaging for their developmental stage.
Can my child attend with a sibling or friend?

Is the camp environment Christian?

What should my child wear to camp?
We advise that children come in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes. Our campers often engage in active play and outdoor time, and appropriate clothing and footwear help keep everyone safe and comfortable.
