Summer Camp, Kernersville, NC

We offer summer camp for our students and other children in the community.

Summer camp provides numerous benefits that help children develop emotionally, socially, and physically. One of the most important benefits of summer camp is the potential for personal growth. At Shining Light Academy, our campers gain independence and confidence, which they can take with them as they continue to grow.

Both our students and other members of our community in and around the Kernersville, North Carolina area can take part in our faith-based summer camps, which run all summer, excluding the July 4th holiday. Some of the things to know about our summer camp can be found below.

Summer Camp starts on Tuesday, May 27th and runs all summer (with the exception of July 4th) to August 1st.

Here are some other things to know about our summer camp:

• We accept children from age 3 to 5th grade.
• Summer Camp Hours are 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
• The weekly fee includes lunches and an afternoon snack. No need to worry about packing anything.
• Also included in the weekly fee are off-site field trips and on-site instructional shows, usually two a week!
• We offer additional child discounts for families with multiple children.
• Summer camp also generally includes a variety of field trips your child won’t want to miss!
• There is also an option to pay a daily rate for up to 3 days a week if that is better for your needs.
• Rates are: $150 per week, $200 registration fee (non refundable)

As mentioned, summer camp gives your child the skills needed to grow emotionally, socially, and physically. Our campers engage in team-building activities, learn good communication skills, and form long-lasting connections. Additionally, outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, athletics, and arts and crafts provide campers with opportunities to exercise and acquire new skills. Not only that, but summer camp encourages your child to disengage from technology, focus on the present moment, and engage in mindful experiences.
