Summer camp is a time for learning, excitement, and fun.
For some children, summer means a break from school and fun times relaxing at home, traveling with family, and breaking up the routine of the school year. But, for other children, summer can be a time of stress and loneliness. Working parents may worry about how to make sure that their children are in a safe and nurturing environment while they continue to work in the summer months. For many families, this is why summer camp is such an important consideration each year.
At Shining Light Academy, we offer a summer camp program to our regular students, as well as other members of our community in Greensboro, North Carolina and the surrounding area. Like everything we do, our summer camp is firmly based on our Christian ideals.

Summer Camp starts on Tuesday, May 27th and runs all summer (with the exception of July 4th) to August 1st.
Here are some other things to know about our summer camp:
- We accept children from age 3 to 5th grade.
- Summer Camp Hours are 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM.
- The weekly fee includes lunches and an afternoon snack. No need to worry about packing anything.
- Also included in the weekly fee are off-site field trips and on-site instructional shows, usually two a week!
- We offer additional child discounts for families with multiple children.
- Summer camp also generally includes a variety of field trips your child won’t want to miss!
- There is also an option to pay a daily rate for up to 3 days a week if that is better for your needs.
- Rates are: $150 per week, $200 registration fee (non refundable)

Is summer camp available all summer?
Yes. From the end of May to the beginning of August. The only exception is the July 4th holiday.
What ages are allowed to attend summer camp?
We accept youth from age 3 to 5th grade.
What are the hours for your summer camp?
We open at 7:30 am and close at 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
What is included in the summer camp fee?
We provide the kids with a snack and lunch, as well as off-site field trips and on-site instructional shows. We make sure the field trips and presenters are in line with our Christian values before scheduling.
Do you offer discounts for siblings?
Yes. If you have multiple children enrolled in summer camp, you will get a discount.
What if I only work part-time? Can I pay daily for summer camp?
Yes. There is a daily rate option that allows you to pay for up to three days a week.
How much does summer camp cost?
The rate is $150 per week, in addition to a non-refundable $200 registration fee.
